Lovable, Bolt and other AI tools

If your tool gives you a GitHub repo, and the site can be deployed on Netlify or Cloudflare Pages, EditStatic can work with it.

Built withWorks?How
Claude Code, Cursor, CodexYesPush the repo to GitHub and deploy it. The easiest case.
Lovable, projects before May 2026Should workReact and Vite. Connect GitHub, then deploy the repo on Netlify or Cloudflare Pages. Not yet tested on a real project.
Lovable, projects since May 2026Netlify: should workServer-rendered with TanStack Start. Cloudflare Pages can't run EditStatic in front of these.
BoltShould workConnect GitHub, then deploy the repo on your own Netlify site. Not yet tested on a real project.
ReplitFront-end onlyA static build can go on Netlify or Cloudflare Pages. A site that needs Replit's server can't.
v0Not yetNext.js on Vercel needs its own adapter.
Hand-written HTML, Astro, Eleventy, HugoYesPlain HTML pages even accept formatting changes.

Lovable

Lovable has Visual Edits built in: you can click text in its preview and change it there. If you're the only editor and you work in Lovable anyway, use that. EditStatic helps when someone else fixes the copy without getting into your Lovable project, or when you want to proofread on the real site, on your phone.

  1. In Lovable, connect GitHub. Lovable syncs both ways with one branch, your default branch unless you pick another.
  2. Deploy the repo on Netlify. For older projects: build command npm run build, output dist, and a public/_redirects file with /* /index.html 200.
  3. Choose where edits go. A staging branch is safest: merge it into main when you're happy and Lovable picks it up. Or point GITHUB_BRANCH at the branch Lovable syncs, so edits show up in Lovable right away, with EDIT_HOST set to the netlify.app address so visitors on your domain never see an editor.

Don't edit in Lovable and EditStatic at the same moment. If both push to the same branch at once, one side's change can be replaced.

Bolt

Bolt publishes to its own hosting by default. Connect GitHub in Bolt, then create your own Netlify site from that repo for editing. Bolt checks GitHub about every 30 seconds and pulls outside changes in, so merged edits appear in Bolt.

Claude Code, Cursor, Codex

Ask your tool to deploy the repo on Netlify or Cloudflare Pages with a staging branch deploy, then run init. Tip for your prompts: ask for copy in plain strings, Markdown or JSON instead of text assembled from variables. Whatever is a plain sentence in a file can be edited.
